Bruno Shkreli scored on a 20-yard run late to help seal Wayne State’s 35-21 victory over Findlay Sept. 19.

What Happened
Running over defenders, and recording his seventh straight 100-yard game is how running back Joique Bell lead his team in Saturday’s home victory over Findlay, 35-21.
“Joique did a great job for us, but you have to give the credit to the offensive Line; they played awesome,” coach Paul Winters said.
“Findlay is the No. 2-ranked defense against the run and our offensive line took it as a challenge and played their hearts out today.”
Bell finished the game with 289 yards and three touchdowns.

Trifecta for Loney
Kenny Loney also played a major role in the victory. He recorded two interceptions and a recovered a fumble in the end zone.
“It just came down to reading my keys and playing the game that I knew I could play,” Loney said.

Turnovers galore
There were six turnovers in the first half — three by both teams — keeping the scoring to a minimum.

Mohner’s first throw
WSU quarterback Mickey Mohner threw the first touchdown pass of his collegiate career when he hooked up with wide receiver Ed Sanders for a 35-yard touchdown.
“It was definitely an exciting moment throwing my first collegiate touchdown,” Mohner said. “It is a moment in my career that I will always remember.”

Comeback dashed
Early in the fourth quarter, WSU led 21-10 and it looked as though the Warriors were running away with the game. Findlay running back Monterea Williams punched in a 1-yard touchdown run, and following the touchdown, Beam connected with Chambers on the two-point conversion, which closed the gap to 21-18.
The Warriors then used their defense to put the game away for good.
Bell sealed the game late in the fourth quarter with a 55-yard touchdown on the left sideline with 50 seconds remaining.
